Fertihope are an independent fertility treatment facilitator based in Cardiff, Wales. We work closely with fertility clinics in Poland, specifically in the historic city of Gdańsk and the capital, Warsaw. We were established to help people take advantage of the extensive expertise available in Polish medicine, especially in the field of fertility treatment.
In cooperation with the best Polish clinics, we offer you an individual, bespoke service designed to create the best possible conditions for the success of treatment. We know that the stress of visiting a new country can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to language problems and navigating new cities. That is why Fertihope doesn’t just provide airport pick-ups and drop-offs, but we also assign you a bilingual “treatment buddy” who will accompany you to restaurants, hospital appointments and even give you tours of the city. Your “treatment buddy” is available 24/7 to answer any queries and help to resolve any problems that may arise.
Our clinic offers various treatments and a number of treatment programs for your peace of mind. These include:
IVF Standard Program The most flexible solution we offer is our IVF Standard Program. It includes basic IVF procedures such as preparation for stimulation, egg pick up, incubation of embryos and their transfer to the uterus. A couple may, in any way they wish, create a bespoke in-vitroprogram made up of the basic procedures listed above and a selection of procedures from our extensive catalogue, each payable separately. Our IVF Standard program stands out due to its low cost, which means that the proposal is more accessible to patients who have a lower budget. In certain cases e.g. when the amount of medicine needed for stimulation is not large – it can be a very financially attractive solution.
IVF Optimum program The IVF Optimum and Optimum+ packages were designed for patients who would like to keep the cost of treatment low while maintaining a high efficacy of treatment. It contains all basic in vitro procedures, coupled with extra elements designed to provide optimum results from the treatment, such as ICSI, blastocyst culture and general anaesthesia for egg pick up.
All-inclusive IVF program IVF All-Inclusive program is the first program in Poland, which within a single lump sum, enables you to benefit from a comprehensive infertility treatment program using in-vitro fertilization (IVF) along with visits, examinations, additional medical procedures and most importantly, with medications used for stimulation.
IVF All inclusive Genetics with PGD-NGS This program includes everything in the All-inclusive program, along with Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) across 1-24 chromasomes. This program can eliminate genetic abnormalities abnormalities (aneuploidy), which are responsible for the occurence of disorders such as Down Syndrome, Patau Syndrome, Edwards Syndrome, Klinefelter Syndrome, Turner syndrome and more. It also allows us to ascertain reasons why an embryo doesn’t implant in spite of its good morphology.
Intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) differs from conventional in vitro fertilisation (IVF) in that the embryologist selects a single sperm to be injected directly into an egg, instead of fertilisation taking place in a dish where many sperm are placed near an egg.

Prof. Łukaszek is the director of INVICTA Fertility Clinics and has a 2nd degree specialism in gynaecology and obstetrics. He is particularly interested in issues of infertility treatment especially IVF, as well as the diagnostics and treatment of recurrent miscarriages. Together with his team at INVICTA, he has developed an innovative technique known as pre-implantation diagnostics (PGD), which enables genetically-burdened couples to have healthy offspring. He also leads all scientific projects undertaken at the clinic’s in-house laboratories.
Prof. Łukaszek is a member of a number of Polish and foreign scientific societies, including the Polish Gynaecological Society (PTG), the Polish Society of Reproductive Medicine (PTMR), the Polish Society of Laboratory Diagnostics, the Polish Society of Andrology (PTA), Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis International Society (PGDIS), the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM)
Prof. Łukaszek had always wanted to be a doctor, even from childhood. His mother was a rheumatologist and his father a gynaecologist.
At university he met his future wife Dorota and together they created INVICTA Clinics and Medical Laboratories.
Outside his professional life, Prof Łukaszek likes to train at the gym with his wife, which helps him relieve the stress of his daily work. He also likes going to restaurants and eating good food and drinking good wine. He is also very interested in bee keeping, a hobby which he has been practicing since childhood in the family apiary.

Dr Joanna Lis
Laboratories | Head of medical laboratories/ Chief Embyologist
Dr. Liss graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of Gdańsk which is where she encountered her true love – genetics and molecular biology. This was to become a lifetime passion of hers. She became particularly interested in the field of criminal science and forensics in which she had to trace and analyze biological evidence (think CSI Miami!).
After graduation, Dr. Liss found out it difficult to find a job as a microbiologist, either in the Police or as a Forensic Scientist. Quite by chance, she joined the team of Professor Krzysztof Łukaszek (owner of INVICTA) at the Medical University of Gdańsk. Initially her work included the study of the molecular biology of HPV, which became the subject of her doctoral thesis which she completed in 2000. It was around this time, whilst working with prof. Łukaszek that Dr. Liss relaised her true passion, embyology and helping patients facing reproductive problems and the development of new IVF techniques.
14 years later and Dr. Liss is still as passionate about helping infertile couples. She believes that an embryologist’s work gives a lot of satisfaction as it is unique and unrepeatable, and its effects can be the envy of many biologists. She is a member of a number of Polish and foreign scientific societies, including PTMR (as a board member), PTGC, PTDL, PGDIS and he European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology(ESHRE).
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Liss loves being around animals, they are her passion. She especially loves cats and is the owner of 3 prize-winning Persians.
